Kefron is delighted to announce that we have acquired Evolution and Lightspeed as we expand the range of services available to clients, both locally and internationally. This investment, worth €1 million will see us increase the number of employees initially by 20 as all staff at both organisations are retained, with the aim of recruiting further staff following continued investment in the company before the end of the year.
This expansion was motivated by a growing need for clients to digitise their files and effectively prevent and reduce information chaos. More and more clients are also looking to automate their business processes for document management.
In an industry which continues to grow, the acquisition of Lightspeed which is based in the UK, will provide scalability for Kefron across the UK and Ireland for digital document management solutions.
The acquisition of Dublin based Evolution, which has clients in both the UK and Ireland will allow Kefron to develop integrated software solutions in-house for clients’ document management needs.
As part of the acquisition Managing Director of Evolution, Alistair Thacker, has now been appointed as Head of Technology at Kefron bringing with him skills and expertise to further enhance Kefron’s offering. Following the acquisition of Lightspeed, both Adrian Guice and Andrew Forward, Directors of Lightspeed will continue in their roles in Operations and Sales respectively.

The acquisition of both Evolution and Lightspeed will provide us with additional capacity and in-house software skills to meet and exceed our clients’ needs for document management as we continue to grow this part of our business.”
